HANA CIRQUE

Aerial, Acrobatics, Variety Fire & Specialty Acts

It looks like a black and white painting of a city skyline.

AERIALISTS

Our aerialists compete & teach when they're not performing for us. That's where the control comes from. They work silk, hoops, trapeze & lyra & they know the difference between an apparatus that looks good and one that's actually safe to fly on for your event. Every routine gets built for the room it's in: the ceiling height, the crowd, the occasion.

ACROBATS

Our acrobats work solo, in acro-duos & as AcroFire partners, pairing hand-balancing with fire in the same routine. Add a contortionist & you've got a different kind of act on the same bill: strength next to flexibility, precision next to risk. Every act gets built to fit your program, not dropped in as filler & rehearsed against your actual run of show before anyone sets foot on site.

FIRE PERFORMERS

Our fire performers are licensed & insured. Every fire show comes with dedicated safety personnel on-site. Choreographed acts, full shows, or roaming ambient performers: we design your fire safety plan & pull the venue fire permit in the correct jurisdiction. We hold UT & NV fire licenses, with more in progress & carry $5 million in insurance coverage.

SPECIALTY ACTS

Fire or LED juggling, LED stilt-walking robots, a live snake or animal act: we cover the specialty end too. Body paint, custom costume work & body tape turn our performers into full characters, built specifically for your event's theme. Tell us what you're picturing on a discovery call & we'll design around it.

We also build larger custom shows that cover every detail: venue selection, food & custom music, plus character & story development from the ground up. An Emcee guides the storytelling & directs the flow of your entire event, so nothing feels stitched together.

Aerial rig rental isn't included in the package price if one's needed. Rigging on-site is usually the better option when the venue allows it. We also mix & match: a Carny package can run fire-only, acrobats-only or aerial-only, depending on the event & what's being asked for.

We hold UT & NV fire licenses, with more states in progress & carry $5 million in insurance to protect your venue. Additionally-insured documentation is available on request.

Shows more than 50 miles from our home base are billed at $0.65 per mile. If a show runs late enough that getting performers home safely isn't realistic, we book an Airbnb or hotel instead.

Out-of-state shows run 50% above our local rate, covering travel time & time away from family & day jobs. Permit fees for a public fire show are billed to the client.

**Working with a smaller budget? Call us. We can often send 1 or 2 performers instead of the full show. Ask about payment plans on larger shows too. Balance is due in full on or before the performance date.**

Every show builds to one moment: Chaos, the finale where everything comes together.

For this Cigar Fire Circus, the request was Spanish flair: live Spanish circus music & salsa dancing built into the show. It turned a standard cigar dinner into something the room is still talking about. Videography by: Matt Campbell

Indoor Fire Circus? YES! From the safety plan all the way to the execution of this Fire Circus show inside of the gymnasium at Utah State University's Eastern Campus, this event turned out incredible with 700 graduates filling the stadium-style bleachers. This family friendly Fire Circus show turned out to be almost 90 minutes with everything from giant flame effects, to aerial pole with our cute little Circus Bunny hoping all around.

Very special shout out to our special guest performers. We had @aeroterraarts join us for this!
All the way out from AZ! 🌵🔆

The Guardians - CO

A custom storyline: Corina, The Light, battling the Darkness with her Fire Guardians. Videography by: Leon Clayton "The Painter" Composed by: David Donica

The storyline:

In a world where light and darkness coexisted, there lived two extraordinary individuals: Corina, The Light, and Sage, The Darkness. Corina was known for her radiant spirit, always seeking to illuminate even the darkest corners of the world. Sage, on the other hand, possessed an enigmatic allure that drew both fear and fascination.

As time passed, the balance between light and darkness began to shift, causing a rift between the two characters. Corina sensed a growing malevolence in Sage and knew that if left unchecked, it could consume him completely. Determined to prevent this, Corina set out to confront Sage, hoping to rekindle the goodness within him.

Corina was not alone in her quest. She was accompanied by her six loyal Fire Guardians, each representing a unique aspect of her unwavering spirit: Passion, Determination, Compassion, Wisdom, Courage, and Hope. With their combined strength, they were an unstoppable force, forging a path through the ever-darkening terrain.

Sage, once a close friend of Corina's, was now consumed by the shadows that clung to his heart. He resented the Light for her relentless optimism and her ability to dispel the darkness. Sage believed that embracing the darkness was the only way to find true power and control.

The battle between Corina and Sage raged on, each clash a vivid dance of brilliant light against deep shadows. The Light's Fire Guardians fought valiantly, their flames pushing back against the consuming darkness that emanated from Sage. But even in the heat of battle, Corina's heart remained steadfast, refusing to give up on the friend she once knew.

As the climactic showdown approached, Corina and Sage found themselves face to face, surrounded by a maelstrom of conflicting emotions. It was then that Sage, in a moment of vulnerability, revealed the remnants of his former self. Corina saw the pain and fear in his eyes, realizing that the battle was not just against Sage but against the darkness that threatened to devour him.

In an act of unexpected bravery, Sage, overwhelmed by the strength of Corina's compassion, chose to renounce his ties to the darkness. As he released the shadows that had bound him, a brilliant light burst forth from within him, blinding in its intensity. And from that radiant light emerged a new Fire Guardian, named Redemption, who held the power to guide and protect Corina.

The worlds of light and darkness began to mend, their harmonious balance restored by the sacrifice of Sage and the emergence of Redemption. Corina and her seven Fire Guardians stood as beacons of hope, reminding the world that even in the darkest of times, the power of compassion, friendship & redemption could triumph over any shadow.

And so, the battle between light and darkness became something bigger than a win or a loss: proof that within every heart, no matter how clouded by darkness, a spark of light remains, waiting to be rekindled.

Haunted Hana Circus 2023 - PG13 - UT

Videography by: Leon Clayton
Video editing for Part 1 & 2: Leon Clayton
Video editing for Part 3: Joseph Cancilla

WARNING: Part 2 gets a little spicy, but nothing too extreme. We keep it playfully haunted.

This storyline was written by Rose Wild & directed by Joseph Cancilla. This storyline reflects the period of Joseph's life from about summer 2022 to about October 2023 when we released this show in Salt Lake City, UT.

The moral: it's better to acknowledge your inner demons & work with them than to fight to destroy them.

You can watch in the beginning as it "winds up" along with some of the VIP ambient hour. This was a SIX senses EXPERIENCE. From having an inverted tasting experience, to carnival & circus smells, to tactile touch experiences with snakes to hold, aerial bartending, body taped haunted clown bartenders, bar-top fire dancing & creepy fire demons approaching you to share their deepest, darkest inner demons that they have overcome.

Part 1 - The Wind Up - The story starts to build, Joseph battles the Grim Reaper who represents accountability. He loses the battle & is taken to the underworld & starts to transform into a Fire Demon.

Part 2 - The Inner Demons - This 2nd act is where it gets real spicy. This experience was clearly advertised as PG13... and we nailed it. Nothing about it gets too extreme as we keep it playfully haunted. Joseph explores many parts of his inner demons & decides to embrace them & become them in order to keep balance & harmony in his life.

Part 3 - The Battle Within - The curve ball nobody was expecting.... if Joseph is going to go into battle to face his inner demons & heal generational trauma, he's going to unleash the mighty Maori warrior that lives inside him. The Maori Haka is from New Zealand, or Aotearoa. The Polynesian culture is sacred & should always be treated as such. This theatrical, modern twist is for the sake of creativity, the arts, is meant to be educational & is always presented in a serious tone, with the utmost respect to the Maori people.
