Fair warning: Part 2 gets spicy. Nothing goes too far, we keep it playfully haunted.

Rose Wild wrote this storyline & Joseph Cancilla directed it, drawing from Joseph's life from about summer 2022 to October 2023, when Hana staged the show for 230 guests in Salt Lake City, UT, sold out, start to finish.

The moral of the story is that it's better to acknowledge our inner demons & work with them instead of fighting to annihilate them.

The night opens as it "winds up," alongside the VIP ambient hour. This was a six-senses experience: an inverted tasting, carnival & circus smells, snakes to hold, aerial bartending, body-taped haunted clowns behind the bar, bar-top fire dancing & fire demons who lean in to share the darkest parts of themselves they've overcome.

Part 1: The Wind Up. The story builds as Joseph battles the Grim Reaper, the stand-in for accountability. He loses, gets pulled into the underworld & starts to turn into a Fire Demon.

Part 2: The Inner Demons. This is where the second act gets spicy, exactly the PG-13 we promised. Nothing goes too far. We keep it playfully haunted. Joseph works through his inner demons here & chooses to embrace them, not fight them, to hold balance in his life.

Part 3: The Battle Within. The curveball nobody expected: to face his inner demons & heal generational trauma, Joseph draws on the Maori warrior spirit. The Maori Haka comes from New Zealand, or Aotearoa. Polynesian culture is sacred & is always treated that way here. This theatrical twist is offered in the spirit of creativity & the arts, presented seriously & with the utmost respect to the Maori people. That's the full night, three acts, one sold-out room, built & run end to end by Hana Ohana. If you want a themed production designed around your event, reach out & tell us what you're picturing.
