HANA LITERALLY MEANS "WORK"

Joseph Cancilla started performing at age 5, telling the stories of the Polynesian islands & carrying forward the Siva Afi Ailao, the Samoan Fire-Knife dance. He served in the Marine Corps, then brought that same discipline into the work: know the plan, execute it, own the result. He founded Hana in 2014 on that standard. Twenty-eight years of performing later, it still holds. What started as one performer's craft has grown into a full-service event agency working in all 50 states & worldwide, but every show still gets built the way the first one did: custom to the room, the client & the occasion.

Hana runs on two things: hard work & straight talk. That's how we deliver for clients & how the Hana Ohana treats each other, on stage & off. Since 2014, one team has owned every detail of every event we've booked, so nothing falls through the cracks & nothing lands back on the client to manage.
